Mark Wellenbrock, a German from Hamburg, unexpectedly inherits his late grandmother’s guesthouse in a small Danish town. What was meant to be a quick sale turns into a journey back to the place where a young German boy disappeared decades earlier, leaving both Mark and the entire town deeply scarred. Reunited with his Danish childhood friend Anna, long-buried memories begin to resurface, compelling Mark to confront a past that has remained hidden for more than thirty years. But the deeper they dig, the more one haunting question emerges:

is a 15-minute award-winning short film filled with emotion and dramatic intensity, set against the backdrop of the East Frisian landscape.
The film marks the directorial debut of actor Björn Christian Menke and was created in collaboration with cinematographer and filmmaker Tobias Mester. The leading roles are portrayed by Dagmar Neugebauer and Menke himself.
